Courses
1. Caravan Course:
This course is designed for those who wish to learn how to tow a caravan or trailer. The course covers all aspects of safety and operation and will give you the skills you need to tow a caravan or trailer with confidence. The course duration is 3 to 5 hours. We cover everything from preparing your vehicle for towing to hitching and unhitching the caravan or trailer to loading and unloading.
2. Towing Courses for Beginners:
This course is perfect for those who have never towed before or have little experience. The course covers all aspects of safety and operation and will give you the skills you need to tow with confidence. The course can be tailored to suit your needs, and we cover everything from preparing your vehicle for towing to hitching and unhitching the caravan or trailer to loading and unloading.
Take the B & E Test
Anyone who wishes to become a professional tow truck driver takes the car and trailer test. The test assesses your knowledge of the Highway Code and ability to operate a tow truck safely. The test is multiple choice and must be completed within 75 minutes. The B & E test is conducted at a vocational (bus and lorry) driving centre. The test will include vehicle safety questions, an off-road reverse manoeuvre, coupling and uncoupling of the trailer and driving on the road.
Get your B & E Licence
If you completed your vehicle driving test before 1997, you already have a B & E licence. However, if you completed your test after 1997, you might need to take and pass the car and trailer test to obtain your B & E licence.
